How can we collaborate?

Being retired I enjoy the freedom to work only on projects I am really interested in. Exploring new ways to learn and opportunties to apply recent technologies are particularly fascinating. I also like my increased capacities to look for interesting new ideas and research results on the web. So, I am interested in joining projects with a limited amount of my time, not in full- time jobs. Nowadays it is possible to contribute to many projects working from home - so distance is not an issue as long as I am not required to often attend team meetings far from Koblenz. If you would like to explore the options, feel invited to contact me. Working for the Virtual Campus Rhineland-Palatinate My part-time work for the Virtual Campus Rhineland-Palatinate (VCRP) is a good example of the kind of projects I like. On behalf of VCRP I am coordinating the NetMath network and provide direct support for Math teaching staff of the universities in the land of Rhineland-Palatinate. Usually I am working online from home, which doesn‘t exclude organizing or attending meetings a few times a year. A particularly interesting part of my work for VCRP is finding and testing new eLearning tools in order to determine the added value they offer within the ecosystem of tools provided by VCRP and whether they are fit for real life classroom usage. If that‘s the case I demonstrate this added value to university staff and support staff in utilizing it. More than seldom, unlocking the potential of a technology for our conditions requires new tools. If I cannot develop these efficiently by myself, I collaborate with computer science students.
